Original Eames shell and original wood and
steel rocker base. The color of the shell seat is extremely rare. I bought
this chair in the sixties. This chair is in excellent condition and has
been in my basement storage for over 15 years. Price on demand. That year I had been an exemplary student at the fledgling School of Architectural Engineering , California State Polytechnic, College then, Univ. now. George Hasslein, the late and much loved Prime Mover behind the Department wanted a School of Architecture, instead of an engineering school of narrow vision... My friend K.Z., when she started cleaning the garage to

Growth of Thonet. In 1859, he produced 25 models, 80 models
in 1873, 110 models in 1884. 1904, J & J Kohn produced 400 models. 1911

The building original stood in a small

During the cultural revolution in China, many temples and
icons were sacked and pillaged. My ex. sister-in-law, Mae and her friend
salvaged this Guan-Ying head. After 25 years, it is now in San Diego.
Like other early Ming period heads, she is also painted in original colours
